Which global fintech trend are you most excited about and why?
Fintech ‘embedded in everything’. Payments, lending, wealth and brokerage capabilities will be offered through platforms which have significant client traction. Why build it when you can offer it as an embedded capability?
What is the fintech you wish you had backed and why?
Apple Pay. The convenience of this payment method which has only increased universal acceptance recently, is a wonder to watch. Given the dominance of the App store, the frictionless and secure payment experience associated with it are another example of embedded finance.
Which entrepreneur would you invite to a fantasy dinner party?
Would have to be Elon Musk, the 'Edison of our Time', for disrupting not 1 but multiple capital-intensive businesses across payments, EV, solar, space and tunnels. Add to that, his ability to move markets with a single tweet, and he would make for a very intriguing dinner guest.
